Our Founder
Dr. Darrick Zirker
Dr. Darrick Zirker completed his dental training at the University of Iowa in 2007, as well as the advanced general dentistry program at Idaho State University in 2008. Prior to his dental education, Dr. Zirker received his degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University. He is a native Iowan from Dubuque.
Before joining River Ridge Dental, Dr. Zirker served as the director of the hospital dentistry residency program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he instructed residents in both clinical and operating room settings.
He values the personal relationships he builds with his patients and is passionate about advancements in dental technology.
Dr. Zirker and his wife Camille have four daughters and enjoy hiking, biking, and anything outdoors. He also follows college football and loves to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes and BYU Cougars.
Dr. Megan Sabus
Dr. Megan Sabus graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2023 and is a member of the American Dental Association. Prior to dental school, Dr. Sabus completed a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. She has lived in the Cedar Rapids area her whole life.
Dr. Megan and her husband, Jaran, have a goldendoodle name Moose. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family.
She is passionate about the artistic aspect of dentistry and loves the variety and opportunities that general dentistry offers. Dr. Megan is excited to begin her career in a great community and is looking forward to developing personal connections with her patients.
